Earlier this year, I listened to the Seeing White podcast series from SceneOn Radio. They interviewed Suzanne Plihcik from the Racial Equity Institute, and she said this about this topic: “Anthropologists finally say, and it is way past due, that race is anthropological nonsense. Is that the same thing as saying it’s not real? No. No, because it’s real. It is powerfully real. It’s politically and socially real.”
