The best leadership strategy ever: Care. I recently came across this post from Gary Vaynerchuk about ‘care’ as the best marketing strategy ever.

Much has been written about customer experience, and marketing teams have been developing customer personas, mapping the buying journey, and eliminating pain points for years.

We’ve spent less time mapping the employee experience, but that’s beginning to change.

The result has been an emerging focus on the ‘Human Experience’ which is about caring for employees as much as we care about customers.

So, next time an employee comes to you with a concern, ask yourself: How would I respond to this person if they were a customer?

And then respond in that way.

Because when you strive to provide employees with an experience that’s just as good as — if not better than — that of a customer, you’re employing the best leadership strategy ever. Care.
